TOTO Introduces IoT-Enabled Products for Smart Public Restrooms

• IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER® Smart- Sensor Flush Valves for Toilets,
• IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart- Sensor Flush Valves for Urinals,
• IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart- Sensor Faucets, and
• IoT-Enabled Auto Soap Smart- Sensor Dispensers.¹

IoT Monitoring Platform Compatibility
The new IoT-enabled, smart-sensor products by TOTO are designed to connect seamlessly with Georgia Pacific Professional’s (GP Pro) KOLO™ Smart Monitoring System to deliver reliable, customizable and secure monitoring and analysis of connected restroom fixtures to a dashboard that facility managers monitor via phone, tablet, or computer. For example, facility managers and their custodial staff will receive real-time updates or alerts on:

Wireless Communication
The new IoT-enabled, smart-sensor products by TOTO communicate wirelessly with GP Pro’s KOLO Smart Monitoring System or potentially with a company’s building automation or facility management system via the KOLO System’s cloud data sharing or its application programming interface (API).

TOTO IoT-Enabled Products’ plumbing functions operate independently of their IoT capability. That is, if Internet service is lost, WIFI communication is disrupted between a TOTO IoT-enabled plumbing product and the IoT monitoring system, or an IoT hardware issue occurs, the TOTO smart-sensor flush valves, faucets, and soap dispensers continue to function properly as high-performance plumbing products with no loss or disruption in functionality.

ECOPOWER Technology:
The company’s proven smart-sensor, ECOPOWER technology creates its own electricity every time water spins a small internal turbine (no need for hardwiring to a building’s electrical system or for routine disposable battery replacement, which is costly and toxic to the environment). There is no minimum daily usage requirement.

Because TOTO ECOPOWER faucets and flush valves generate their own energy, they continue to operate without interruption if the building loses its electricity. Service Agreement
A service agreement with GP Pro is required to activate the IoT-Enabled, Smart-Sensor features, which are independent of the operation of the ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Products or Auto Soap Smart-Sensor Dispersers. Moreover, should a company decide not to renew its IoT service agreement, the TOTO IoT-enabled faucets, flush valves, and soap dispensers will continue to function as high-performance plumbing products with no loss in functionality.

IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Flush Valves for Toilets:
The TOTO IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Flush Valves for Toilets feature a self-adjusting smart-sensor that does not require manual calibration, providing fast and easy installation. Their six-second detection time prevents ghost flushing.

Extremely water-efficient, they are available at 1.0 Gpf or 1.28 Gpf, offer a manual flush override feature, and are equipped with a self-cleaning piston valve with a 360-degree filter screen. ADA-compliant, they are available for wall-mount or floor mount toilets in exposed (durable chrome plating) or concealed (brushed stainless steel finish) valve styles.

IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Flush Valves for Urinals:
The IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Flush Valves for Urinals by TOTO feature a self-adjusting smart-sensor that does not require manual calibration, providing fast and easy installation. Their six-second detection time prevents ghost flushing.

High-efficiency, they flush at 0.125 Gpf or 0.5 Gpf, offer a manual flush override feature, and are equipped with a self-cleaning piston valve with a 360-degree filter screen. ADA-compliant, they are available in exposed (durable chrome plating) or concealed (brushed stainless steel) valve styles.

IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Faucets:
The IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Faucets by TOTO are extremely water-efficient. They are available at 0.35 Gpm, 0.5 Gpm, or 1.0 Gpm with no minimum daily usage requirement. Their micro-sensor is positioned underneath the spout head for accurate hand detection, ensuring smooth, consistent water distribution and making them vandal resistant. Hands must be detected before water is discharged, and the water flow stops immediately once hands are removed. IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Faucets discharge only the water that users need, eliminating water waste.

ADA-compliant, IoT-Enabled ECOPOWER Smart-Sensor Faucets are available in a wide array of spout styles, including Standard, Axiom, Gooseneck (deck- and wall-mount), Helix (standard, vessel height, and wall-mount), and Libella (standard, vessel height, and wall-mount).

IoT-Enabled Auto Soap Smart-Sensor Dispensers:
The IoT-Enabled, Smart-Sensor Auto Soap Dispensers by TOTO require an electrical connection. ADA compliant, their self-adjusting smart-sensor does not require manual calibration, providing fast and easy installation. They deliver foaming soap, which requires TOTO Soap. They are equipped with a refillable tank system.
